Theme & Visuals
The action unfolds on the backdrop depicting a typical frontier town of the 19th century, with its only street ending in a hazy vista of endless dusty plains. The interface is promptly stylized to reflect the common materials used by the settlers in craftsmanship - the bullet-pierced regular symbols and control buttons are executed as wooden boards reinforced with iron rims. The special symbols feature telltale characters and realia of the setting - an Eastwood-esque sharpshooter, a languid barmaid with a folding fan, cowboy hats, gold nugget bags, and the like.

To balance the gameplay, RTG removed the Wild symbol, which is fair considering the number of other collectibles appearing on the board. Instead of hunting down the Wilds, you should fill the Star collectors above each reel. Once you gather 5 stars on any reel, 10 Free Games are immediately triggered.
In-Game Extras
With the base game so intense, one would expect the bonus features to be at least equally sophisticated, and Jackpot Saloon doesn’t let down in this regard.
Free Games. Like 5 stars above any reel, three Scatter symbols on the board will bring you 10 free spins. While the mode is active, any payline win comes with an x3 multiplier. As if it weren’t enough, you are now gathering Badge symbols - for no other purpose than hitting a Jackpot! The rules of Badge Collect are identical to the Star feature, only now each badge collection represents a Jackpot of a certain size.
Pick Bonus. If you happen to hit three Bonus Scatters that are different from the regular Scatter symbols, the game will give you either a Multiplier award that results in an immediate payout, a Star that gets added to your collection, or a Dynamite that yields nothing and ends the feature.
